NicoTEAM
NicoTEAM is a school-based, youth tobacco prevention program for students in kindergarten through eigth grade.The aim of the program is to prevent tobacco experimentation and/or use and to empower youth to choose a tobacco free future. NicoTEAM is designed to reach students with a positive tobacco-free message delivered through special assemblies, guest presentations by area health professionals, and lessons team-taught by their regular classroom teachers and NicoTEAM staff.
The NicoTEAM curriculum is evidence-based and effectively associates with positive changes in attitude and perception and in much lower rates of tobacco related behavior.
