TATU

Ottawa Hills High School TATU group, 2007-2008
Teens Against Tobacco Use, "TATU", is a youth leadership program of the American Lung Association. With this program, high school students are trained to develop and present a tobacco-free message which they then present to fourth through sixth graders at local elementary and middle schools.
In 2007-2008, five KISD high schools participated in TATU through a partnership with Tobacco Free Partners, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and Spectrum Health HeartReach. 41 high school students were trained and 641 fourth through sixth graders received the exciting and dynamic presentations! This year, those same five schools are choosing to participate again.
